Targeting Bass Around Grass All Year

Greg Hackney has a master’s degree in fishing grass. His resume shows he’s perfected catching bass flipping, pitching and fishing in and around the edges of grass. We’ve spent quite a bit of time filming him and are always amazed how he can methodically pluck all of the bass out of a small area. I filmed a tournament he fished on Lake Ouachita many moons ago where he flipped deep grass and he worked a 30 foot stretch but it took him almost 3 hours to go 30 feet. He shares some of how he decides where and how to fish in a sea of grass throughout the different times of the year.
